One thing that can help is looking at makeup tutorials for older women. As an older non-binary person who was assigned male at birth, I tend to wear a little bit of eyeliner most of the time. I haven’t even really gotten into presenting en femme much. But I’ve found out stuff like using gray or dark brown eyeliner as opposed to black, winging upwards instead of outwards, and little things like that. Take the general ideas you find here, tweak them with general advice for makeup for older women, and you can probably come up with something that looks really stunning!

Amanda, I have exactly that problem. I’m just getting started and now that I can achieve a half decent feminine appearance, I often am still disappointed because I wasn’t trying to look like an old lady. Plus, I watch those tutorials and sure you can draw these lines and paint this shadow on but my skin isn’t a flat canvas like that! You could paint any face on some of these girls. Like on paper. But I draw a line from here to here and from this angle that is a dashed line that resembles an electrocardiogram.
