Q: Sofia, what does your wife really think about your cross-dressing?
Sofia: She’s incredibly supportive. She respects it and knows it’s part of who I am — not a separate person, just another side of me. Having her understanding means the world. It allows me to be completely open and comfortable being Sofia.

Sofia: Definitely! Fitness helps me stay confident in my body. It’s not about perfection — it’s about feeling strong, balanced, and proud of who I am, whether I’m dressed in gym gear or a full glam look.

Q: Can you tell us a bit about wigs?
Sofia:Absolutely! A good-quality wig really makes a difference. It can completely transform your look and boost your confidence. Investing in a well-made wig not only helps it look more natural but also makes it more comfortable to wear. Whether you prefer synthetic or human hair, choose something that feels right for you — that’s what matters most.Q: What would you say to cross-dressers who only dress at home?
Sofia: Enjoy it! Feeling feminine is one of the most wonderful parts of the experience. Every situation is different, of course, but if you feel comfortable sharing this part of yourself with your family, they’ll often surprise you with their understanding and support. It’s always better to be yourself than to hide away.

If you’re feeling more confident, go shopping and treat yourself to some women’s clothes. Don’t let fear stop you from expressing who you are.

If you’re unsure about going out in public, try connecting with local cross-dressing or transgender support groups. Talking to others who understand your experience can make a huge difference — they can offer great advice, encouragement, and friendship. And remember, it’s always better (and more fun!) to go out with others than alone.

Q: What kind of fashion are you loving now that it’s October?
Sofia: Autumn fashion is perfect for experimenting — layering, mixing fabrics, and playing with rich colours. I’m loving oversized blazers, faux leather skirts, and boots. Cross-dressing in the cooler months means more textures, more style, more fun!  “Details matter — especially nails.”
Q: Nails are a big part of your look. Any favourite styles right now?
Sofia: I love elegant almond-shaped nails, usually a glossy nude or soft pink with a bit of shimmer. Sometimes I go bold with a dark wine shade for nights out. The smallest detail can make you feel instantly more feminine and put-together.

Q: What’s your go-to breakfast?
Sofia:  I keep it light — fruit and a boiled egg. It keeps me energised without feeling heavy. And I never skip my morning coffee — that’s essential glamour fuel!

“Balance is everything.”
Q: Do you drink?
Sofia: I do, but only socially. It’s something I enjoy when I’m out with friends or celebrating an event. Everything in moderation — I think balance in life is really important.

“Social media attention is lovely — but I stay humble.”
Q: You’ve become quite popular online. How do you deal with the attention?
Sofia: I take it with calmness and gratitude. It’s nice when people appreciate your style or confidence, but I try to stay humble. The messages I get from people saying I’ve inspired them to be themselves — that’s what really keeps me going.

Q: You’ve become a role model to other cross-dressers. How does that feel?
Sofia: It’s an honour. I never set out to be a role model — I just wanted to be myself. But if my confidence or openness helps someone else start their own journey, that means everything to me. Cross-dressing is about expression, freedom, and joy. Everyone deserves to feel that.“The Glam Girls scene is evolving — and so am I.”
Q: You’ve stepped back from DJing with Glam Girls — what’s next?
Sofia: Yes, I’m focusing more on promoting and booking entertainment now. I love helping create nights that celebrate diversity and self-expression. It’s not just about the music — it’s about community. That’s what Glam Girls is all about.

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself, your hobbies/interest &where you are from?
Krystal: “My name is Krystal, I’m 32 years old and im from Longview Washington. My favorite hobbies include fashion, photography, cars and video games.”.Q. How did you get started with crossdressing?
Krystal: “I was around the age of 7-8, my older stepsister insisted we swap clothes. She wore my soccer shorts and tee shirt and i put on a long sequin mermaid dress. I fell in love right away and never quit dressing up!”.



Q. What are the challenges you have faced as a crossdresser?
Krystal: “Accepting myself, hiding clothes from friends/family, having a safe space to dress up, figuring out makeup.”.

Q. What are the things that you really enjoy being a crossdresser?
Krystal: “Just feeling pretty, taking pictures and finding cute clothes online or in stores!”.Q. How often do you dress up now and tell us about your transformation/ makeover process?
Krystal: “I dress up about once or twice a week, it usually takes about 2-3 hours.



I start by taking a hot shower and exfoliating everything, then i use a double edge safety razor (to reduce ingrowns) and shave my entire body. After that i hop out of the shower and start shaving my face.

Next i setup a photo light in front of me so i can best match my skin with the right lighting, first i use an orange concealer stick as a color corrector to hide my facial hair, then ill go over the darker spots with a light liquid concealer, after all that ill do foundation, setting powder and then eyebrows and eyes.

I like to do my lips after i get dressed and put my wig on, just to reduce the chance of getting any on my shirt.”.



Q. Where do you buy your clothes and makeup from?
Krystal: “I buy my clothes from Forever21, H&M, Hot Topic, Windsor, Amazon, Shein, Target. Honestly anywhere i can find cute stuff!

For makeup i almost always go to my local Ulta they have just about anything you could need in there, and the staff is always friendly!”.Q. What type of activities do you prefer to do after getting dressed?
Krystal: “Taking pictures of course! Going to drag shows, or just having a girls night with some snacks and tv :)”.



Q. Have you went out in public in your femme self? If yes can you share your experience about going out in public and being dressed feminine in front of other people?
Krystal: “I have! It was very nerve racking at first. But I go out and take pictures, I’ve been to the mall and to a ive been to drag show. Its always been a good time! Ive seen a couple people stare and give me looks, and I’ve had someone shout something rude, but i just ignore them and they go away.”.Q. Any particular story or experience you would like to share about yourself and your crossdressing journey?
Krystal: “Going to the drag show with my girlfriend was probably the most fun! We both got super dressed up and watched all the girls dance the night away! i had a few drinks and just felt like a pretty girl the entire time.”.



Q. Have you come out to your friends and family as a crossdresser? If yes, how hard was it for you?
Krystal: “I have, and it was super hard coming out to my parents! I had to show them pictures for them to even believe me. They don’t enjoy what I do, but they’re supportive of me. We have all just agreed not to talk about it, and I’m fine with that!

My friends were different, they just ended up finding out through word of mouth, or from finding me on instagram. All of them have been super awesome and supportive though.”.Q. What are some of your favorite outfits/ styles?
Krystal: “Y2k, Goth, Chic, Formal, Minimalist, Glam. I love skirts and short dresses! And you cant forget accessories!!!”.



Q. Lastly any tips or advice you would like to give to crossdressers who are just starting out?
Krystal: “If you truly want to dress up, then you should! This life is too short to waste it away thinking about how others perceive you.”.

▶ How long does it take you to to do your make-up and get ready: That depend of the makeup’s type, if it’s a « natural makeup », it’s 2 hours with the dressing and for glam makeup it’s 3/4 hours with the dressing and to fix the wig.



▶ What are the challenges you have faced as a crossdresser: The guys ! They never understand that we don’t do that for them ! And they are difficulties to listen when we say no ! Of course we love to please, be a star but not to excite them!

And the « AI women » ! Because, in this society, we are always compared to others and we can’t be better than an AI but it’s not real life and some person don’t realize that and tell us some bad remarks and advise like to lose weight, do more sport to have a better ass, why you don’t have more big lips, etc.

And remember, a guy who just put a string and a bad wig, it’s not crossdressing.

▶ How long you have been cross-dressing: I think the first time I ever crossdressed was when I was around 12 years old. However, I only really started dressing more frequently and spending more time on my makeup and outfits for the past 3 years or so.



▶ What’s your favorite thing about dressing up: The transformation process of going from looking like a man to a woman and seeing the end result. The feeling of looking in the mirror after spending so much time on your outfit and makeup and seeing a woman look back is just euphoric!▶ Things you can’t dress up without: Aside from the crossdressing essentials like a wig, makeup, and a girly outfit, I would say my shape wear is something that I absolutely can’t dress up without! Since I started wearing a bre@st plate, hip pads, and corset to give me a more girly figure, I just find it makes me feel so much more sexy and feminine.



▶ Reason you cross-dress:I think I started crossdressing out of the sheer curiosity of what I would look like as a girl.But now that I’ve been dressing for so long, I think the real reason I crossdress is because it’s the only time in my life when I, who the majority of the time presents as a cis man, get to experience what it’s like to feel girly, feminine, and pretty. I love crossdressing because it’s the one time in my life when I can express my feminine side!



▶ Things you like doing after getting dressed:Pictures! When I dress, I usually pour myself a glass of wine, try on a bunch of different outfits and take so many pictures and videos of myself. I love wearing skirts and dresses that show off my feminine curves. I think my favorite outfit would be my long-sleeved red dress because it was the first dress I ever bought for myself and to this day I still love the way it looks on me.



▶ Where do you buy your clothes/makeup/shoes from: I order most of my clothes, shoes, and makeup online from Amazon. However I also love going thrifting for women’s clothes when I’m in a new city, and some of my favorite outfits are ones I bought from thrift stores. This also helps me a lot with saving money because having two wardrobes can get expensive!▶ How long does it take you to do your makeup and get ready: From the time I start with shaving to when I’m fully dressed and made up as Courtney is usually takes me close to two hours. Although it takes a long time, I enjoy every minute of the process and the end result is always worth it!



▶ What are the challenges you have faced as a crossdresser: The biggest challenge I’ve faced is trying to accept this side of myself. I’ve never told anyone in my personal life about Courtney aside from one or two very close friends because I feel like my family and other friends would not understand or accept this side of me.Always dressing in secret and never being able to share this side of me with my family has always been a challenge. What has helped me overcome this challenge is knowing there are so many crossdressing communities out there who are all full of kind and supportive people. Q. Tell us a bit about yourself, your hobbies/interest &where you are from?
Nina: So, I’m Nina, i’m 40 and live in the south of France. I work as waitress in a cafe and i’m a huge fan of music, basically Rock (i play in 3 groups!). I share my life with a girl since 9 years and i have a cat.Q. How did you get started with crossdressing?
Nina: As child, i used to borrow secretly some of my grand sister’s clothes..I preferred Carnival Day to Christmas Day, I loved to disguise myself and played different characters, but I was already fascinated by Femininity (make up, dresses..).

This continued into my teenage years, but less often. Then I really began to crossdress at 27 : buy my own clothes, learn how to make-up and find my own style : Nina is born in 2012.



Q. What are the challenges you have faced as a crossdresser?
Nina: The real challenge was to be true, to myself and to people I share my life with (lovers, friends..). It took time to understand that this side of me wasn’t a shame or a illness.I finally found the way to accept it as a best part of myself, a kind of super power, something that makes me unique and more courageous. It helped me to know and respect myself. It’s a great luck in fact! When you’re okay with yourself, you’re okay with people you love..

Q. What are the things that you really enjoy being a crossdresser?
Nina: The thing i prefer is that crossdressing is really fun, it’s a kind of game, i love to see Nina in the mirror and don’t recognise the boy I am. It’s like living two lifes in one!I love to be called “madame” when i go shopping, see the curiosity in people eyes, let them wonder if i’m a boy or a girl, be provocative as well and bother the closed minders. I love the perfumes, the lipstick taste on my lips and the nice clothes i wear.. Being Nina is always a celebration where my senses working overtime!



Q. How often do you dress up now and tell us about your transformation/ makeover process?
Nina: Not as often as I like..About 3 or 4 times by month, sometimes more when i’m in holiday and/or alone at home..I spend between one hour and 90 minutes to be Nina (depending if i needed to shave all my hairs 😋), but my makeup routine is quiet simple (about 40 minutes).I always give some rest to my skin beetween shave my beard hair and make-up my skin, i take the opportunity to paint my nails at this moment. And I always finish by drawing a lovely “beauty spot” above my lips, it’s my ritual : the Nina Touch ❤️

Q. Where do you buy your clothes and makeup from?
Nina: I love vintage clothes so i’m looking basically for second hand clothes, in vintage shops or Vinted. I buy my make up in specialised shops and my wigs on internet..



Q. What type of activities do you prefer to do after getting dressed?
Nina: I love going out, take a lot of pics, drive my car (!), listen and dance to music, drink a good glass of wine, see my friends and/or meet new people to spend some special moments (if you see what i mean 😉🔥). I just want to have fun!

Q. Have you went out in public in your femme self?
Nina: If yes can you share your experience about going out in public and being dressed feminine in front of other people? My first experience outside as Nina was a day at the pride parade and an evening in a night-club for crossdressers in Toulouse in June 2012.But there was a Pride Parade in my small town in 2022, where I went as Nina, a lot of friends or people i knew discovered this side of me this day i never forget, and as everything was fine, i continue to show myself as Nina very often, so i have a lot of experience as Nina outside..anyway, i don’t want to hide it, life is too short..



Q. Any particular story or experience you would like to share about yourself and your crossdressing journey?
Nina: A funny story : when i was at the crossdresser club one night. I fell the key of my car, and suddenly, there were about 4 or 5 crossdressers who helped me find my keys, with their very high heels and short dress, in the parking outside the club.

It was so kind, i discovered that Crossdressers can be a strong and full of love community at the moment..I was stopped as police control three times as Nina, very funny moments everytime! One policeman give me a wink, it seems like he founded me beautiful!

Q. Have you come out to your friends and family as a crossdresser?
Nina: If yes, how hard was it for you? Yes i did, and i’m still doing it as soon as possible, i think that now everybody know i’m crossdresser, and there’s nothing wrong about that. I was afraid to shock people or to be rejected, but finally every-time it was okay.

When i met my girlfriend 9 years ago, i quickly told her about it, to be true with her and myself, and as she is very open minded, she let me be who i want to be, that’s a luck. My boss know me as Nina, all my friends know it, and my sister as well (who accept it with all the love she has for me).

In fact, there are just two persons who don’t know Nina : my parents (and i don’t want or need to tell them, despite i know they would understand, cause they’re full of love as well).



Q. What are some of your favorite outfits/ styles?
Nina: I love vintage style, from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s eras. I’ll always always try to have a “cute and a bit sexy” look, by mixing all the styles i love (Rock, Vintage, Hippie,Chic, Trendy..).

As I got beautiful legs 😋, I love dress and skirt of course, I’m huge fan of pantyhoses, i love boots, high heels or cool sneakers. My favorite look is my little summer flowered dress, with pantyhose, Doc Martens boots and leather or jeans jacket : the perfect rock n’ roll-cute-spicy look to me!



Q. Lastly any tips or advice you would like to give to crossdressers who are just starting out?
Nina: Respect yourself and respect the Femininity, don’t forget that crossdressing is not just a secret fantasy or a game but it’s also an art and a weapon to change the world and the global way of thinking : you can be sexy, provocative but don’t forget that when you are a crossdresser, you show what is your own idea of Femininity, so don’t be vulgar in public cause it would not help the cause of women, and we need to be by their side!Look at the girls in the street or around you, to check ideas about clothes and accessories. And please, don’t use AI or filters, be proud of you, you’re beautiful! We are Glam Warriors and we can change the world! Go outside and enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think..

“The hardest part is simply walking out of the house dressed. That first step is still difficult. I wish society was more accepting so that people like me didn’t feel the need to hide. Everyone deserves to express who they are without fear or judgment.”

Q. What are the things that you really enjoy being a crossdresser?
Sofia: “Crossdressing gives me the confidence to truly be myself. I love the excitement of shopping for new clothes and then going out in them to meet friends—it’s an expression of who I am.”“I’m also very active on social media, where I’ve built a strong following. My message is all about encouraging others to embrace who they are. I aim to be a positive role model and help people feel free to express themselves without fear or judgment.”



Q. How often do you dress up now and tell us about your transformation/ makeover process?
Sofia: “I dress as often as I can, mostly on weekends when I’m off work. My main event, though, is at the end of each month—on the last Friday—when I host Glam Girls, a special night for crossdressers at DV8 in Dublin.”

Q. Where do you buy your clothes and makeup from?
Sofia: “I shop for clothes from a variety of retailers including Dunnes Stores, Marks & Spencer, H&M, Penneys, Next, Zara, and Carraig Donn. I also buy online from Shein and Temu.”

“For makeup, I usually shop at Brown Thomas, but I also pick up products from the drugstore or Boots from time to time.”



Q. What type of activities do you prefer to do after getting dressed?
Sofia: “After getting dressed, my greatest passion is my role at DV8 as the host and MC of the events. I absolutely love seeing others happy, and being part of that joy—whether I’m hosting, DJing, or providing entertainment—fills me with pride. It brings people together and helps strengthen our crossdressing community in such a powerful and positive way.”Q. Have you went out in public in your femme self? If yes can you share your experience about going out in public and being dressed feminine in front of other people?
Sofia: “Yes, I’ve gone out dressed before—never with fear, but with confidence in myself. I haven’t yet ventured out alone during the day, like sitting in a coffee shop on my own, but it’s something I’m building up to.”



“Last year, I went to a regular pub/hotel bar in Navan, Co. Meath with a group of fellow crossdressers. We were definitely aware that we were being watched, but honestly, we just enjoyed the experience for what it was. As we were leaving, a woman came up to us and was incredibly respectful and kind to both myself and the other girls.”“We’ve also had a few nights out in Belfast, and I have to say, the women I interacted with there were amazing. They clearly knew we were crossdressers, but treated us with the utmost respect—even when sharing the same toilets. It was a really positive experience.”

“I even had a few girls ask for my Instagram, which was honestly surreal, but in a really affirming way.”



Q. Any particular story or experience you would like to share about yourself and your crossdressing journey?
“I may have already hinted at it before, but I really want to share my journey with DV8—because it’s been nothing short of incredible.”

“Not too long ago, the bar was quiet. It was struggling to draw a crowd, and the energy just wasn’t there. But something in me said, “Step up. Do something.” So I did.”“Back in October and November of last year, I started DJing—just to help bring some life back into the place. Then, as the new year rolled in, I got even more involved. I dove into every part of it—helping with the setup, promoting events online, hosting, organizing, even writing promos for our shows. I poured my heart into it.”

“And something beautiful happened.”

Q. Have you come out to your friends and family as a crossdresser? If yes, how hard was it for you?
Sofia: “Coming out to my wife wasn’t too difficult. One day, while we were in a women’s clothing store, I simply told her that I wanted to wear a dress. That’s how I shared my passion with her.”“Telling my mother was a different experience. Her reaction came more from a place of not understanding than rejection. She didn’t say “don’t do it,” but it was clear that she lacked the knowledge to fully grasp it.”

“I also told a few friends, and they were incredibly respectful. That meant a lot to me and made me feel good about opening up.”

Q. What are some of your favorite outfits/ styles?
“I love wearing dresses—my favorites are maxi, bodycon, and cocktail styles. In the warmer months, I don’t mind a shorter dress either. I also enjoy pairing body tops with jeans for a more casual look. Day to day, I lean into comfortable casual wear, but when I’m heading out—especially as a DV8 host—I like to dress more formally.”“I’m a big fan of high heels and boots, and when it comes to jackets, I usually go for something casual like leather or even a bit of faux fur. Overall, I always dress to impress.”

Q. Lastly any tips or advice you would like to give to crossdressers who are just starting out?
“Be yourself. Be confident in who you are. Crossdressing is about expressing your true self, and there’s nothing more powerful than embracing that with pride. Take your time to try out different styles and outfits until you find what feels right for you—what makes you feel comfortable, authentic, and happy.”



“At DV8, my role is to welcome people attending for the first time. I aim to create a relaxed and friendly space where nerves can fade away. I know how important it is to feel safe and accepted, especially when you’re taking those first steps out into the world as your true self.”“I always encourage those who’ve never been out to come along and experience it. It’s a chance to just be you, free from judgment.”

“I believe that if more crossdressers felt able to talk openly with their families, they might find understanding and even respect. And every open conversation like that could help shift society’s view—even in a small way.”

That said, I completely understand that not everyone can do this. Every person’s situation is unique, and safety and comfort come first.



“Society often fears what it doesn’t understand. But with education and more open-mindedness, things can change. One day, crossdressers won’t feel the need to hide in their bedrooms. They’ll be able to go out confidently and without fear—because crossdressing is natural. It’s a part of being true to who you are.”

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself, your hobbies/interest &where you are from?
Lisa: “I am Lisa 25 years old crossdresser from Bavaria, Germany
I am interested in makeup, clothes, taking pictures while I’m dressed and drawing.”.



Q. How did you get started with crossdressing?
Lisa: “I started with dressing in my early puberty. My classmates told me early on in school that I had feminine features and a feminine figure with great legs. A teacher once said that I behaved more femininely than the other boys. I took it as a compliment.”

“It was no surprise that I felt magically drawn to my sister’s and mother’s wardrobe. I tried on her clothes and makeup. I felt feminine and cute.”



“I think girly clothes are definitely more beautiful than man clothes. So why not wear women’s clothes and express my feminine side. I was very happy when I moved out and was able to live out my life even more.”

“I bought my own lingerie, dresses, skirts, wigs and makeup. I was finally able to find my own style and experiment. I am very proud of where I have ended up now.”.



Q. What are the challenges you have faced as a crossdresser?
Lisa: “I always need some time to take the next steps. Always give myself plenty of time. sometimes too much. I haven’t managed to come out as a crossdresser to my friends and family yet I am very perfectionist and want to be the most feminine version of myself when dressing. In order to be perceived as a woman in public. That’s annoying sometimes.”.

Q. What are the things that you really enjoy being a crossdresser?
Lisa: “I love to improve my makeup skills and  increase my already feminine features. I like my skin to be smooth after shaving and love feeling beautiful lingerie and clothes on my skin.”



“When I put on my makeup, wear sexy lingerie and a dress I change alot in my behavior. I do everything in a super feminine way. To see my inner girl in the mirror is an amazing feeling. And being confirmed by compliments is just great.”.

Q. How often do you dress up now and tell us about your transformation/ makeover process?
Lisa: “As often as possible, of course. It’s me. it is my greatest passion. I try to do it every weekend. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always work.”

“I start by removing my body and facial hair, put on something cute and comfortable, apply nail polish and start with the makeup. Sometimes it takes me two hours because everything has to be perfect.”



“Then I put on one of my wigs and style it. Now the fun begins with the outfits. Every time I try on an endless number of clothes that I’ve just bought.”.

Q. Where do you buy your clothes and makeup from?
Lisa: “I buy most of my clothes at H&M they have some cute stuff. And my Makeup at DM. Its a drugstore in Germany.”.



Q. What type of activities do you prefer to do after getting dressed?
Lisa: “I take a ton of photos and videos during dressing. Sometimes I text with other crossdressers and boys (I mean getting compliments just feels great. After I’ve decided on the perfect outfit, I like to go for a walk.”.

Q. Have you went out in public in your femme self?  If yes can you share your experience about going out in public and being dressed feminine in front of other people?
Lisa: “I really enjoy going out in public dolled up. Take a walk and enjoy being looked at. I’m always nervous when I leave the apartment and I’m excited to see what awaits me this time.”

“But the excitement dies down very quickly. So far I have only had good experiences when I was dressed in public. I was spoken to once. The man looked very surprised when he heard my voice.”



“Apparently my voice betrayed me. However, I took it as a compliment; apparently I had succeeded in my transformation.”.

Q. Any particular story or experience you would like to share about yourself and your crossdressing journey?
Lisa: “No specific story. I just feel more and more the need to express myself. Don’t just do the dressing for me. As a next step, I would like to build friendships with like-minded people, exchange ideas, meet up, and go to parties together. And have experiences like other girls.”

“So far I have only dared to introduce Lisa to a person with whom I had been in contact for a longer time. It was a great experience. He was very nice and gave me a lot of support. This should be the beginning for the self confident Lisa.



Q. Have you come out to your friends and family as a crossdresser? If yes, how hard was it for you?
Lisa: “No it’s still my secret.”.

Q. What are some of your favorite outfits/ styles?
Lisa: “The shorter and feminine the better. I like to accentuate my feminine figure and show what I have. I love close fitting dresses, skirts cute crop tops and sexy Lingerie.”

I like to combine my styles with nylons, jewelry, bags, the right high heels, sandals or boots. What can I say, I’m a girl who likes to dress nice and sexy.”.



Q. Lastly any tips or advice you would like to give to crossdressers who are just starting out?
Lisa: “Be yourself. be experimental and find what you like. Have fun and don’t let anyone talk you out of it. If it feels good, it’s the right thing. When it comes to makeup. Practice practice practice.”.

▶ How long you have been crossdressing: I have dabbled ever since I was young. Small things here and there. At around 15 I went and bought a few things myself and hid them away, wearing them privately when I could.

I further dabbled for years and went through the whole purging and then starting again process. In later 2020 during lockdowns, I told my partner at the time that I wanted to try this fully as I have always wanted to. When I saw myself fully for the first time, RiRi was born. So it has been about 3.5 years of dressing fully from head to toe.



▶ Say something about your crossdressing experience: Crossdressing has always been something I was really private about and ashamed to be doing. It has taken me a long time to be say to myself, “it is okay that you do this.” I am really proud of the progression I have taken. In the past few years, I have gained a whole new RiRi wardrobe and have opened up to some select friends. Almost all have been so encouraging. For them, I am really grateful.

In 2024, I took a huge step forward and went out for the first time as RiRi. I had tried the previous year but had been crippled by anxiety and fear. This time with the support of friends and some fellow members of the community, I was able to do it and went out to a few bars and a club fully dressed.

It was an incredibly liberating experience and the feeling of euphoria hung around for weeks. I’ve since gone out again and plan on making it a more regular thing. RiRi has spent too much time hidden – time for her to go out into the world and be happy.

▶ Reason you crossdress: For me, I crossdress as a form of escapism and it has a place where I can fully feel beautiful. My mind associates femininity with beauty and so Ta Da! I think also it is a feeling of being someone else who is desired and admired.

I have always admired so many trans women, crossdressers and drag queens for years at how they are able to go out fearlessly and I and so proud now that I can be included in that now.



▶ Things you like doing after getting dressed:Photoshoot time! Always. At least a few hundred pictures are taken in different poses. Now though, I have been going out dressed which has been so much fun. With a core group of girls who are so lovely, supportive and gorgeous. They have truly accepted me as one of their own and have given me a sense of friendship, pride and inner peace – love you girls.

▶ Your favorite outfits/style: Definitely have many outfits. When I was starting it was very much more hyper feminine items – costumes or lingerie. Which I still love. But now I’m in my fashion era so it’s definitely things I can wear that give off trendy, fashionable and sexy vibes.

▶ Where do you buy your clothes/makeup/shoes from: So many places. Amazon, Shein, Thrift shops. I am so lucky too to have bought a large collection of clothes and looks from a retiring drag queen who had incredible taste – thanks Alexa. Always on the lookout for shoe recommendations as I have larger feet so hit a girl up haha.



▶ How long does it take you to get ready: MANY MANY hours. I get very methodical when getting ready. The few times I have been out, I have had a professional help do my makeup / hair and wow, am I grateful. They performed wizardry on me..

▶ How long you have been crossdressing: Since childhood. It was tights that did it ! Then more underwear, socks in bras, more and more dressing up, just to kind of justify, make sense of the tights really ! Teenage years, I’d go and spend a night at my aunties’ (she wasn’t that much older than me) so I could hide some of her clothes in the bathroom and secretly dress up later.



▶ Say something about your crossdressing experience: It was in my twenties that I started to find online forums and makeover services. I’d always wanted – and needed – to know and see how I’d look and feel completely transformed. I thought I’d look terrible and have it kind of exorcised out of my system, scratched the itch. But it didn’t.

The first time, I wasn’t sure, but I needed to try it again. On my third makeover, I had the reveal all in one go – and I cried ! I suddenly saw and felt everything that I’d been feeling in my life till that point. It had always been there – and was always going to be.I remember my first time outside and what a thrill it was. The very first time of hearing heels that sound of heels concrete – and they were mine. The feel of cold air up my skirt. A real feeling vulnerability, but also power maybe ? Going into a member’s club and finding other people seeing me dressed for the first time – the attention I got and the surprise at how that felt. I’d always thought of myself as straight, but to have men looking at me, clearly finding me attractive was a very, very heady feeling.

At this point it has definitely become a thing in my life. I wanted to do it more, explore it more, experience the absolute rush of how I felt, how I looked and how much I loved being out – clubs and meets. I started to do things dressed up that I would never do, or want to do ‘as a boy’. I was newly married and although my wife didn’t know the full details, she new enough to leave.

At that point I hated it, what it had down to me and the massive knock on effects through divorce. Another relationship came to an end because of it – and I realized then that it wasn’t what *I* was doing that was wrong but that I was with people who were wrong for me. I decided to embrace it, enjoy it and accept it all as just another part of me.The next few years were the highlight for me. Nikki became fully realized. I found her look, her attitude, my friends. As a guy I have never felt attractive at all – though people tell me I am. Lacking in self confidence, wanting to be, but never feeling desired. But suddenly I was. It didn’t matter that it was men as much as anyone else – I know what it’s like to be turned on as a guy, what male sexual energy can feel like and to know I was making males feel like that was amazing. I was sexy, desired – and it felt powerful.



Rather than craving people saying yes to me, I was able to say no to them. I felt like Nikki was my superpower. I then had to learn how to realize that it wasn’t ‘her’ who had that, but ‘me’. I ‘created’ her, she was part of me – and so the confidence and power she had was something I needed to start to accept and realize in my own life. I think when I did that, I felt like ‘Nikki – Game Completed’ !

Since then I’ve dressed on and off. When I’ve felt like it. But I’ve also found my sexiness, appeal and confidence as a man, as part of a rounded whole. And I’m very grateful to Nikki for that.

▶ Things you like doing after getting dressed: I don’t know if this is the place to fully answer that question!

▶ Your favorite outfits/style: Whatever it is, it involves stockings !

▶ Where do you buy your clothes/makeup/shoes from: Wherever sells my sizes. If I like the item too – bonus. I’m tall, and finding male things that fit me, that I also like, is hard enough anyway. So when I find girl stuff that I like and fits I tend to make that the core of my outfits. A few things I really love rather than loads of things I don’t. I have always said that ‘Nikki’ has a kinky side too – so *she* likes dressing up. It’s not that *I* like dressing up as a girl in a uniform, in latex – it’s that Nikki does.



▶ How long does it take you to get ready: Couple of hours. Three max. If I’m going out I will always, always go for a pro makeover. I want to look my very, very best – and I don’t have the skills for that ! Bring tall I’m going to be looked at and so I want to make sure they have something good to look at 😊 Jodie at the Boudoir was my first.

Then the late Pandora, who made me cry tears of pure joy. Claire at TVAMC was a huge part of my growth and development of finding my look, confidence and style. Finally Alison Dale gave me the best two makeovers I’ve ever had, I felt like I never had before, or since. I’m so sad not to be able to have that opportunity now – and there’s a feeling that if I can’t look or feel the way she made me, I don’t want to do it again !

▶ How long you have been crossdressing : Started when I was 9 years old, but I’ve really dedicated myself to it in the last four years. Before that, it was more of an opportunity thing, now it’s more like a lifestyle for me.



▶ Say something about your crossdressing experience: Sometimes I feel that the one that crossdress is my other self, that guy there. That when I’m presenting myself as a woman, that’s who I truly am. I love to just go around town and talk to people, go to stores, have lunch, love the compliments, the way people treat me, it makes me feel happy, and complete.

I’m always open to answering questions from people, and so far, had only positive experiences. I love when a woman comes up and tells me how pretty I am, or asks me about my shoes, or nails, or anything, and we simply chat like two women.
I think what makes it a truly fulfilling experience for me, is that since I lost my fear of going out and started to enjoy being out there as myself, is feeling that I belong, and that people accept me for who I am. What is going to happen move forward? I don’t know. My plan is to keep enjoying it, and getting better and better at being Giovanna. Oh, and to buy more shoes!



▶ Reason I crossdress: I love everything that is feminine, and I’ve grown up surrounded by powerful women, that had as part of their identity, presenting very feminine: stiletto heels, nails, makeup, dresses… I was attracted to it since I was a child, and when I tried my first heels, a pair of black stiletto boots from my aunt, I was hooked.

I felt powerful, confident, it was an amazing feeling for a child, almost hard to describe. I’ve always been shy, and when I’m presenting en femme, I feel that I can take over the world, I feel that it is who I truly am. And that’s why I love to dress up..

The absolute calm I feel and all the anxiety and stress disappear while I look like this. The calm I feel for days after being dressed is brilliant and I can never get enough of it. All the compliments and well wishes I get are amazing and something I never get as a man. The confidence I take from this I feel helps me in everyday life so it’s all positive except for the cost of having two wardrobes but it’s worth it.



▶ Things you like doing after getting dressed: When I go out during the day, it’s mostly having lunch with friends, or coffee, then going to a makeup store, or looking for some new skirt or blouse at the stores I like. When going out at night, I like to go to drag shows or clubs, where I can dress up more fabulous and really explore my feminine side, dialing up the glam!
▶ Your favorite outfits/style: I’m obsessed with high heels, so that’s always the base where I build my outfits from. I think my style could be described from Chic Brunch to Hot CEO (I wish!) – or like some friends told me once, “you’re either a hi-end escort or a bored mafia wife”. One inspiration for me has always been the way the women dressed on the movie “The Devil Wears Prada”, I love that high-fashion look, which is something that I’m still trying to achieve and five inch stilettos. Can’t live without my high heels!

My favorite outfits would be, for going out during the day, my beige leather skirt, and if it’s warm a sleeveless cream or white top and beige heels, or if it’s cold, a white sweater, trench coat and beige or brown boots. At night, I’d usually go with 5 inch stiletto sandals, a black miniskirt and a beige or black tube top, or boots if it’s colder. I like to dial up the sexy, so you can expect me being a bit overdressed at all times!



▶ How long does it take you to get ready: If I want to do it right, it takes an average of two hours if I don’t mess up my eyebrow coverage (which happens quite often) for makeup, and one hour for the outfit, including padding, nails, and hair. I tried to make it quicker, but then I ended up using the extra time that I managed to squeeze for retouching and improving the end result, which in the end makes me happier and more confident.

▶ Where do you shop: Clothes I usually get a lot from SHEIN, because I can try different styles and see what looks good or not and return what I don’t want, Poshmark (helps if I already know the brand), FashionNova, Akira, or local shops here, like The Bay – where I got my favourite tube top, Winners, H&M, Aritzia, Zara.
For me shoes, shoes are important enough to justify looking for the right one, and so far, I chose Onlymaker for the Heeled Sandals and some boots, Up2Step for the Pumps – the shape and toe cleavage of their pumps is really next level, looks almost high fashion, SHEIN I’m giving a try and so far, is working well for block heeled sandals, Akira for the outrageous, gorgeous boots, JustFab or ShoeDazzle sometimes has nice stuff, and when I have some extra money, ShoeBidoo is my heaven for Italian designed shoes. I’ve been researching shoes for the last ten years, and these are the ones that passed the bar. I could also mention Cape Robbin, FCUK, Yoox and Aldo, which are worth a try.



And makeup, I usually purchase mine on Curlique Beauty, here in Vancouver, or at MAC. My preferred products are Makeup Forever HD Skin foundation and concealers, ELF putty primer or El Makiage Photofinish primer, Maybelline (don’t judge me) or NARS lipsticks, and MAC eyeshadows and contouring palette. I’ve found out that it’s best if you purchase makeup in person, with someone at the store that is going to help you find what really works for your skin.

▶ Your favorite outfits/style: My favourite style would be trying to be classy and have an everyday look. I love nice dresses especially with a low cut top. Also love a leather dress or skirt or leggings. Also anything pink or with sequins is always a great look..
